where is a good site to find out what a boat is worth? Or maybe you guys on here will be able to tell me. Its a 1995 Alumacraft Dominator with a 60HP Evinrude and 55pd minnkota powerdrive troller. Its in really good shape and always garaged. Just a rough estimate to know where to start it out at in the classifieds on here.

I’m not sure if it’s the best source, but have you looked at NADA? NADA

It will give you a rough idea of where to start.

NADA is a good start, but their prices are a bit on the low side. just my .02.

Depends on the side you are on…….buying or selling?

I’ve got five dollars. Is that enough? When we sold our Tyee we used the NADA book and talked to the dealer about what they where asking for one used and found a nice spot in the middle.

Be watching..new boats will be showing some much larger sticker prices with the prices of aluminum. Used boats may look like a pretty darned good deal for a while!

Ammo for hunting doubled in price due to the cost of brass!

That was a key factor in my buying a boat now, rather than waiting for incentives this spring. I took advantage of Yamaha’s extended warranty, but opted to buy a boat at today’s pricing rather than gamble and lose any savings in incentives to increased pricing due to materials. The word on the street is that aluminum pricing could take a HUGE jump…so much so that Alumacraft has discontinued the production of their canoes because of the costs of producing them. Apparently they don’t sell well enough to make it worth their while.
