As a Bears fan I’d like to be the first to congratulate the Vikings on the win! That was a heck of a game!! I think the Vikes have found a running back as long as he stays healthy. The Bears may have found a quarterback, and maybe a receiver in Hester!!! Should be another good game in the dome!!
Ed
you are bragging about that game. Personally as crappy as both teams played we should all duck our tails and run. That was pathetic for both teams other than MN running back he is a very good back just like devin hester. Hester IS THE BEST return man in the NFL as well as right now peterson for MN has to be the best running back in the NFL. I turned it with 4 min. left when the bears were down by 14 and then boom it was tied. Must have been pretty pathetic defense to let the bears score twice but i didn’t see it. Oh well just week 6 alot of season left.
How about Chili in the post-game interview still referring to Peterson as Taylor’s backup . Wake up Chili — you are one of the biggest meatheads on the planet!
Despite the victory, Chili needs to go!!!!
actually on the Minn. depth chart peterson isn’t at the top of it for running backs although he plays like he is their best qb in fact he is their whole offense.
Way to go Viking’s great win on the road. A few obsevations: What happened to the great Bear D from last year, I find it hard to believe this team has taken such a large step back on that side of the ball. This Peterson kid has a chance to be great if he stays healthy. I must admit I dont mind seeing the Bears sucking swamp muck at the bottom of the division…..
The Bears are a struggling unit there is no doubt about it. I believe they have serious problems on offense, beginning with the lack of a coordinator. They play as if they have no game plan at all, and I’m seriously wondering if they do. Defense is a harder question to answer. They started 2 weeks ago w/o 6 D starters, that will take a toll on anyone. Last week was a fluke that they won even with their D a little healthier. This week? I don’t know, didn’t see any of the game. But I suspect that as long as they have no game plan, stick with a nobody QB, and keep showing up for each game they are going to continue to struggle.
The Vikes have an awesome running back in Peterson. Isn’t there a kid with the same name on the Bears roster at RB?
Lord, I wish the Pack had a kid like this or this kid — as I said many weeks before this reply.
Being the number one Vikings basher in Minnesota I will admit that was a great game!
However…………… I’m still looking to see what Childress see’s in Jackson. He may be a nice kid but he isn’t an NFL quarterback.
Peterson has proved he belongs in the NFL, Childress hasn’t.

You must not have watched it last week either.
I watched every minute of the game. Favre gave the game away by handing off the Urlacher. I don’t mean that to discredit the Bears, not at all. But had it not been for that one bone headed play the Packers would be 6-0.
After week 1 I had to run out and get a Peterson jersey, just to show my support for the showing he made. This “kid” is still learning! I think Jackson has the brains to develop at QB but I’m not so sure we’ll ever see that as long as Childress is at the wheel. Vikings have lost every game they’ve lost by a weak offense that couldn’t put up so much as an extra touchdown…… which would have been enough to win all four losses. We could use a seasoned QB now but every team goes through this at some time. What happened to having a good receiver? After Carter and Moss, we’re used to having a game changing receiver on the roster and I want another one!!!
We’ve got some talent up front so I hope they can get it together and keep punching holes for AP and get some better pocket protection for Jackson’s development.
Is it still possible to bring Schottenheimer in???
I bet Chicago wishes they hadn’t gotten rid of Rivera. He was the main reason the Bear’s defense looked so good last year.
As for TJack, he would look a lot better if he quit hitting our recievers in the hands with the ball!! They dropped just about every good throw he made yesterday.
I agree with Jack. I don’t think we should throw the towel in on TJack. If you look at the stats you might feel that way. BUT, if you watched the game he had at least 4 dropped balls that I saw that should have been catches. It would be nice to have a veteran to show him the ropes, but I think he will catch on as long as the coaching does not bring him down.
I do not disagree but we lucked out against Washington — kinda of a reverse thing when talking about the Pack/Bear game.
Regardless, I have no doubt the Pack will win the division.
I’ll say one thing. The Vikings are better than they are being coached. Chili is a no-personality meathead. he’ll be lucky to last two years. I think the Vikes might be better by two games had Peterson had a chance to play both halves.

Agreed, it was a bonehead play, but I think that sitting on the lead and all of the penalties that caused that situation and others gave the game away more than just 1 play.

That’s the thing, it maybe can never be traced to a single play. But it was obvious their spirit was pretty much gone after that turn over and, if I recall, so was the lead. The Pack should be 6-0. But also The Bears should be 4-2. These games are usually determined by just a handful of plays and as such the “what ifs” and “yeah buts” seldom mean much. That is why the games are actually played.
If one were to really pick a valid play that cost the Pack it was the penalty on the field goal for illegal procedure. The NFL later determined the Pack lined up in a legal formation but the damage was done. The Bears were able to get 7 points instead of 3.

Blaming the refs? You sound like a Vikings fan! Never mind the horrible penalties to keep the Bears drives going. Never mind the two fumbles that probably would have turned into 10 or 14 points. Never mind the ultra-conservative play calling in the second half. It was the refs!
The Packers should be 4-2 at best, the Bears and vikings records are about right
I found this out wading a local river on Monday. I think Adrian Peterson of the Vikes tossed this outta the bus on the way to the airport after the game. Probably didn’t have anymore rushing yards left in it!
AP was spectacular last Sunday, rushing for more yards than the net rushing yards of the Bears and GB combined. Actually, Chester Taylor rushed for as many yards as the Bears team did and 27 yards more than GB!
