I know what I would do…take a picture of the dog, go find a nice stump out in the woods in the glorious sunshine and have myself a little cry. Get it all out, so to speak, no sense in sitting around on such a nice day being miserable. Sorry to hear of your loss, how old was you dog? What breed? It gets easier eventually…

Hey thanx to all….good group of guys here.
Her name was Gracie,an English Cocker that I drove to Buffalo,NY to aquire as an eight week old pup. That was six years ago.I picked her lineage because her Dam was the national field trial runner up that year (Millie). The breeder was a successful businessman who along with a handfull of others rescued the cocker breed. The English Cocker is once again a viable gun breed.

It’s easy to dwell on a pet’s leaving…try to dwell on the many good times that you wouldn’t have had if you wouldn’t have made the trip to NY.

    To Gracie!
