Good Customer Service

I’ve had three great examples of superior customer service lately. Thought I’d mention them.

    1) Joe’s Sporting Goods – St. Paul – went in to get a reel fixed. The guys in the fishing department were outstanding, knowledgeable, and willing to take the time to show off some products I’m interested in.

Found a pair of waders on sale for $10 less than I had bought them at Gander this weekend. While paying for them, the manager walked up and handed me a $25 rebate coupon for the waders! Now I’m getting them for $35 cheaper. Where was this rebate offer this weekend?????

I’ll definitely be making more trips to Joe’s.

    2) Flambeau Hunting – I sent them an email last night and by 8:00 this am, I had a response from an actual person who indicated that my replacement products were on their way, no charge! This was not even a situation they were at fault for, just wanted to make sure I was satisfied with my product.

I’ll be sure to take this into consideration when purchasing duck decoys in the future.

    3) Berkley – Purefishing

Sent them an email last night at 11:30 pm and by 9:30 this am I had an answer. They too are shipping out, free of charge, a replacement part for a fishing reel.

Love this great service! It makes you wonder why everyone doesn’t do it!!

I placed an order Sunday online with Thorn Bros, they call me Monday morning at 9ish to say 1 items out of stock and I got a different item. Came home last night ( Tues) and my lures were waiting for me. Customer service nowadays for alot of companies are lax but those that are quick and promt will always get my money again.

Many people are under the belief that customer service is a product of the past, I’ve dealt with Pure fishing and Joes for many years and will continue to do so for the facts related earlier. Its worth every minute of my time to deal with people that don’t consider me a liability, yet treat me as someone who deserves attention and consideration no matter how much I spend or how simple the situation. They will continue to get my business as long as my interest still reflect my abilities.

A general good customer service thread cannot go by without mentioning Hooked On Fishing in Rochester. Simply the best customer service ‘around these here parts’.

    Great news, thanks for sharing!!

I was going to post this elsewhere, but the theme has started. I have been to Cabelas in Rogers’s no less than 8 times for this upcoming hunt. Needless to say, I’ve not left disappointed. As a matter of fact, I entered the store ticked off one day, but left happy as a tick on a dogs (that’s pretty darn happy). Thanks everyone at Cabelas for helping to outfit me for my moose hunt.

I also ordered some new Gamehide Hush Hide rain gear, the service was top notch and had the product at my doorstep in a few days. Now if I could just convince the wife I need about $1000.00 more of your product. LOL.

Good customer service isn’t dead, but it’s sure hard to find sometimes. It’s good to give a plug to these people that are more than happy to help.
