Scam Email

    Check out this scam email I got last night! These people just don’t quit! This is too funny! This is a copy of the exact eamil I received:

    HELLO,
    I’M INTERESTED IN PURCHASING YOUR(IDA Pro Staff Director )I WILL LIKE YOU TO E-MAIL ME THE PIC’S AN THE LAST PRICE NFORMATION ABOUT IT ALONG WITH THE PRESENT CONDITION AS OF IT NOW DON’T WORRY ABOUT THE SHIPPMENT I HAVE A SHIPPING COMPANY THATWILL CATER FOR THE SHIPPMENT AND I WILL LIKE YOU TO KNOW THAT MY TERMS OF PAYMENT WILL BE A CERTIFIED BANK CHECK OR MONEY ORDER DRAWN IN U.S FUNDS..HOPING TO HEAR FROM YOU SOONEST..

    Sounds real to me, I get them all the time being on Craigs List. I send them the info and get fake checks all the time, then give them the run around about sending them there money, with fake money gram #’s and making no sense when I email them. Its fun

    I had the same thing happen to me. We were selling an older pop-up style camper, for around $1000. They sent us a check for $5000 dollars and said all we had to do was send them a check back to them for the difference. We took the check to our banker and he let us in on what the scam was going to be.

    If it sounds to good to be true it probably is.

    There is alot of these types of scams out there so beware.

    I say we sell The IDA Pro Staff Director. See how long it takes before they return him and that will make them think twice about the scams.

    We could add in a Internet Media Sales person to make sure they don’t return the Director!!

    He is all gimped up, so I’m not sure he provides any true value. I think we may have to throw in the webmaster simply to gain value in this group.
