gander mountain has stradics marked down to 99.97 just thought i would share this info

i believe they arent going to make them any more. they are going to do what they did to the curado… take a way a hell of a reel for the moeny. i believe the new ones are 160???

Thanks for the heads up! A couple months ago they had the Cardiffs marked down to 69.99 and I had to pick a couple up. I might have to go spend some gift cards tonight.

Cabelas has had the Stradics marked down to 99 bucks for 2 months now. The new Stradic’s were made to compete with Diawa reels. It seems the Diawa reels have taken a big leap in the market and Shimano needed to make some changes to be a player again. The new 2500 pictured in the link above is the size of the old 1000, but has a much bigger spool. The down side is that they do retail for about 160 bucks.
However still a great reel, and about the same price as the Diawa lineup as well.

The Sustain’s, and Stella’s have been changed as well. Those reels will be marked down as well. Still over 200 bucks for these.

I have one of the new reels and I feel they are worth every penny spent!
