Good spot to stay or not? Anyone know if they have outlets to plug boats in at night? Closest access to river would be how far away? I don’t know Red Wing at all and I am looking for the most convenient place to stay. I have also had several people mention the Parkway Motel. Which would be a better spot for 6 guys for a 4 day trip? Thanks.

Parkway has spots to plug in a boat and is much less expensive.

What is the closest boat launch to Parkway?

The closest ramp to redwing would be bay point, which is right in red wing but the best ramp would be Evert’s. Deano has everything you need for baits, he will also have the current bite update, and will probally have some coffee and cookies around too

    Drew,
Any place you stay in Red Wing there will be a landing within five minutes drive time if that is your question. Evert’s is only a few minutes farther so if you stay in Red Wing Evert’s is only a few minutes away. Hope this helped.

If you stay at Evert’s you can leave you boat in the water if you want to.

I have stayed at the Super 8 and it is nice. This has been 4 years, but my family was there – no complaints from my wife so that should tell you something.

I am with everyone else. Screw the hotels in Red Wing. See if Deano has room for you, if he does, for sure stay there. I stayed there on my first trip to pool 4 and would not ever stay anywhere else. By the way find out first if BK will be around. That could put a damper on the experience (just kidding BK)

    Drew,

Where are you comming from? You don’t list your “Home State” in your profile.

Coming from northern Iowa. Evert’s is full, so I need someplace else to stay. I have heard lots of great things about Everts, but I need someplace else this time around.

If you do stay at Everts and Brian is around, take a break from fishing and just sit back and enjoy the show

The reason I asked is you want to make sure and by the non-res fishing license in the state where you are stay in. Everts=WI, Parkway=Mn. Just a heads up.
