Green sure wasn’t an angel in this, but he didn’t have much choice but to move because the Met was a dump and the city of Bloomington didn’t want to renovate it and the state didn’t want to build a new arena. The NHL already bailed out the North Stars twice to keep them in Minnesota so they let the team move.

You should go to work for ESPN sounds like you have everything figured out for Minnesota teams. I am not sure how many games you attended there but I grew up 10 minutes away and went to several hundred games there and it was a great venue. The atmosphere was awesome. And I think it had to do more with Norm’s personal problems, wife cheating, money hungary, ect, ect…….. By the way try getting a ticket at the Excel. Good product=Waiting list for tickets.

I actually liked the Met but it was falling apart, and would love to work for ESPN. Sounds like you were one of the few hard-core fans. If you were at so many games, you think you would realize nobody else was there until they got on a run to the finals. As I said Green wasn’t an angel and did have financial problems, but the lack of attendance sure doesn’t help the bottom line or help the NHL force them to stay here, as they had in the past.

And yes the Wild sells out. Not sure if they are a “good” product every year. They certainly have had some good years but even the bad years they sell out now. Maybe people here are afraid they will lose another team if the attendance drops? Who knows? Minnesota found out just like other cities that they could have saved millions and millions of dollars if they just would have built a new arena for the North Stars.

With all the purple “fans” only going to games if the team is a good product, maybe history will repeat itself and the Queens will leave. Now that would create a little ribbing here!

I guess if tickets were available to a Packers home game, I’d be first in line.

You can get a ticket to any Packer home Game

He means to have season tickets. Several folks show up to the field to get tickets from scalpers all the time.

on the Packers website they have package deals where you can still get tickets, there may be some $14,000 skyboxes available if 19 of you want to split the cost, this is for one game! I couldn’t find Cheifs Vs. Packers tickets at KC, unless you were willing to package a deal with another game like KC Vs. Titans, but was able to find $140 ticket to the KC game on the Packers website. I think Arrowhead is one of those places where the atmosphere would be fun to experience on gameday. Cuts one weekend out of pheasant season though.

We were just down to KC to see the Vikings play the Chiefs. Arrowhead was awesome! Our seats were about 10 rows from the top but the view was still great. If you can get to Arrowhead for a game, I would highly recommend it. I was also very impressed with the KC fans. There was good natured ribbing from both sides (we gave as much as we got) but no one was mean. Tailgating was a blast too! We paid about $100 per ticket before the season started.

    You forgot one.

Second all-time in career interceptions thrown by a quarterback, with 275 (George Blanda, 277) Needs 2, (probable)

Actually needs 3 to break record. Probable, but not this weekend.

Int’s comes with the territory, just like big home run hitters strike out a lot. Do not know why everyone makes such a big deal about this, it is the number of wins that counts. Have the highest passing attempts and you are going to have a number of int’s. Not all int’s are the QB’s fault either.

Your are right, now if James would only allow us to go back to politics.

As for hockey when I lived in the Twin Cities I attended about 20 hockey games a year and was suprised when the North Stars moved to Dallas.

My faith in Minnesota Hockey did dimish a bit.

Here I am. I do not log on weekends, and had Yesterday, monday off. Last thing I am gonna do, is log in here. Yes, Favre has the record, that was a matter of time… Yes he’s a great quarterback, (never said he wasn’t) now for the Packers shot… if they beat the lowly Vikings by 1 touchdown, do you really think payoffs ??? Let’s face it, (I have) the Vikings stink this year, if a team that is suppose to be so great, beats them by one blown referee call( IE, the catch and subsequent fumble, that was recovered by MN, but blown dead as incomplete, and then unchallengeable) I do not think a team that beats MN by 7 points is going anywhere soon. There, ya happy now !!!
