Stopping by there between a wedding and the FLW championship later this month.

Anyone been there that can send recommendations on where to stay what to do besides the obvious?

Also, do you have to cross over into Candada? I am bringing my infant daughter and two labs so looking to avoid needing passport for her and papers/vet info for the labs.

Also if you can recommend a good place for lodging with parking for my boat and that takes pets it would be appreciated.

    Thanks in advance!

Just to let you know the best view for the Falls is on the Canada side. That is where the visitors center and rides are. (boat and tours) sorry can not help you on the motel issue.

    Ted,

I would stay in Lewiston or Youngstown, not in Niagara Falls. It is a little cheaper and not that far away. It has been too long to remember the names of the places to stay, but they are not hard to find.

The Salmon run will be in full swing. You should do all you can to get in on it. The fishing is not that tough and your walleye gear will be more than enough to land ’em. Use your trolling rods to drift three ways with fresh spawn bags and hold on tight.

Enjoy the trip, that is my favorite part of the country. Those falls are just incredible.

If you are in the area you have to do this We did this when we went up on our Honeymoon and it was a blast. By far the most fun I have ever had in a boat. At the time I went it was $40 per person to go in the open boat, no cover (highly recommended) that we went in. Sat in the front row and had a blast I even bought the video of our trip after wards. I watch from time to time and experience the thrill everytime all over again. You will never expirience anything else like this.

Ted – the Canada side is much nicer. The view is better and there are a lot more attractions….but not sure if it’s worth the hassle.
