I remember all of them, didn’t have a partyline but the rural areas did. Blackjack was licorice flavored chewing gum and it was the best. From the time you put it in your mouth, your mouth immediately started watering, boy it was good. If I remember right the package was a light blue with black lettering and the inside wrapper was an even lighter blue.

I remember all of them, but it is not how old they say you are, but how old you feel.

What happens to folks who are older than dirt, but don’t remember stuff? Does that mean you are younger than what you are?

S&H green stamps. Where can I redeem mine? I still have some.

I’m old enough to respect my elders.

Old enough not to need a gun except for hunting.

Old enough not to call a women a ho.

Old enough to form a sentence without using four letter swear words.

Old enough to know a liar and low life when I see one.

Old enough to know BOTH Republicans and Democrats are liars.

Old enough to know what the “Bay of Pigs” meant.

Old enough to know right from wrong.

Old enough to know this thread brings back alot of memories.

Amen Brian, and the other information you quoted above. How things have changed over the years, and it doesn’t seem that long ago.

My mom gets a catalog called “Vermont Country Store” They sell Blackjack Gum and other old time candy in there too yet. Some of the names have changed being some of the older names weren’t exactly PC by todays standards but you can still get them

What are green Stamps by the way? And yes I know the Bay of Pigs. They do still have decent history classes in small towns

I must be dead, and my wife laughing at this. I remember all of these. I loved my uncles Stude’ pickup. It was a tank! I remeber my first job off the farm in high school at a service station, and gas was 24.9c/gal. I remeber when it went 30 cents, it was like some one put up a barracade. The next day, they all needed gas. (even pumped some Ethel!) Ya, that’s right.

Took my bike to get gas for the lawn mower. Dad gave me a quarter for the gallon can…I brought him 6 cents in change home.

Although I recall 24 of the questions…I’m still not as old as Herb!
