They were here in Chicago on Saturday night and I couldn’t go. Had to run a half-marathon yesterday morning. Always a great show which is one reason of many why they are my all-time favorite band.

Drum solo was 10 minutes. His set spun 180 degrees.

Seen RUSH back in the late 80’s. How 3 guys made all them sounds, was beyond me.

Man I wish I could have afforded to go to this show but the new rod and reel got priority!

    “Mythical airwaves crackle with life.

Life and death all bristle with the energy.

    Emotional feedback on timeless wavelengths

carry a gift beyond price…. Almost free.”

RUSH rules! The above song just drips sarcasm.

Geddy Lee and the boys could sure write lyrics!

As a fellow bass player, I’ve always drooled over Geddy’s string work! I have the fingering to pull off YYZ but not being active for 10 years, I’ve discovered I no longer have the speed! Guess I’ll have to pull out some Iron Maiden and let Steve Harris re-school me on speed techniques! Another band to look up to is YES. Chris Squire and company were another band that did incredible things.

RUSH- loved and respected from peers and listeners alike. I’ve seen them before, I’ll never forget it. However, there have been others that just never caught on that have “wow’d” me just as much.
