I just think it’s sad that the Vikings can’t sell out anyways. Where is fan loyalty? The Packers have struggled the past few seasons there is still a LONG waiting list not to mention a ticket runs anywhere from $175 – $300 – So double the cost of a Vikings ticket? Is it the Dome? I doubt it? My perspective – Packer fans stay Packer fans through the good and bad – Viking fans – Bandwagon. Not a smart place to post this but it does seem true!

I think you are tryiong to compare two very different markets. What does Green Bay, and northern Wisconsin for that point, have to offer for pro sports? Football, that is it. The Twin Cities has pro baseball, football, basketball, and hockey. Not to mention the U right in the cities too. I will have to admit there are bandwagon people, but the majority of the lack of interest comes from to many options. And anyway who the he** would pay $300 for a NFL ticket.

This theory holds no water!! It is plain and simple we have devoted fans here in Wisconsin. Take a look at the following for our beloved Badgers when they go to a bowl game, or their home games for that matter. You see way too many people critisizing a certain coach, team, player or owner, from the west side of the river. But given a good team the seats will be full and all will have a Homer Hanky like they bought it day one. Our football teams have 8 home games a year…..it shouldn’t be hard to find 40,000 people in the state that would want to come to the game.

I was watching the Badger game on Versus on Saturday night (um, lucky the badger pulled it out!) and they said UNLV has only ever sold out four games. Every one of those games was against the Badgers. Hmmm, I wonder who bought those tickets?? Not that they would ever get there, but the Gophers wouldn’t even sell out the rose bowl!
