In the spirit of the boyscouts newest poster “Step Away From The Joystick” I can chalk one up for the parents.

Parents score 1, Video games 0.

If you have a handheld GPS and kids – here’s a way to get them out of the house.

Fun stuff ! Grab some trinkets & head out the door. Tell them your going on a scavenger hunt.

Geocaching can be great fun. I have done some of these with my whole family(wife and kids 2-17). It has gotten myself and my 14 year old son(who has very little interest in the outdoors) out to enjoy some areas we never would have experienced otherwise.

If you haven’t tried it give it a shot one more way to get outdoors and involve your family.

Geocaching is great fun! My son, Tyler, and I started last year and we have 107 finds to date. Now baby Emily joins us too. Its a really fun way to get out and enjoy nature and see some sights you wouldn’t normally have even known existed.

We have even cached in PA while visiting my Dad. Tyler loves going with Grampy… and I know Grampy loves it just as much!
