Early Goose Season

    Just wondering how guys did for the opening day of goose season this morning. What were the high numbers and were there any problems that occurred??

    We ended up shooting 31 birds and the party next to us shot 20 birds. Fun morning.

    Our goose season in Iowa opens next weekend so I will let you know how we did!

    Actually the Iowa metro seasons opened this weekend. The rest of the state is open next weekend for the early season. Good luck to all who are heading out – it looks like we had a pretty good hatch this year. Chuckles

    Wow, when I was of age to hunt, the only thing that we could shoot 20 to 30 of in the morning were pigeons and sparrows…and the pigeons were questionable.

    our party split into two to hunt 2 seperate fields they were hitting. we ended up with 22 and 3 bands and the other group ended up with 19

    my group only got 3. a buddy of ours went out with 8 people and they ended up with 24 birds.
