Lake Pepin

    Anyone do any fall fishing on Lake Pepin? It is only a couple hours from me and I have heard good things about it. Would it be worth a 3 or 4 day trip in late September or October to catch some eyes?

    Late September and October ( full moon ] I cant wait. Pulling cranks in 6-8 fow at night would be worth a 4-5 day trip. Also if you like slab crappies october is great along the rocks. If you decide to go for it maybe we could hook up a day.

    Good time to try it. I’ve said it before about Pepin – something special about back trolling or running lead core there. Some good spots along Maiden Rock, Methodist campground, No Point, and running from public access to Hansons Harbor. Remember to start the morning right with a great breakfast at the Galley.

    How is the fishing in Sept. compared to Oct? When is the best time to go?
