Holiday weekend coming up.. I wouldnt doubt it will shoot up more.
August 27, 2007 at 11:59 pm #603661Interesting how the oil companies are spending millions on advertising, telling us not to support price controls and such. Simular to what we had in the seventies.
Something we need to remember is very few oil companies are \”American\” companies. Meaning they are paying little if anything in corporate taxes. So, with the government starving for additional resources due to their mismanagement do you think the government really wants the price of gas to fall? The latest hikes prove that Americans won\’t drive less, they don\’t mind spending the additional money. The government will still collect the same amounts of taxes PLUS they get to receive campaigne kick-backs and donations from the oil companies. Win – Win for politicions and big oil.

And the Gas companies report a record profit. But us little guys can not stop it, We need to get to work.
August 28, 2007 at 2:04 am #603707willmar the prices went up 16 cents and the wholesaie went down 2.44 so they went down 6 cents so it will go up today to 2.99 and them friday it will drop a nickle so they can say it went down on the holiday

Just to urine you off.
August 28, 2007 at 7:01 pm #603933Any of the above will work lol, I seen an article that was sent to my mailbox about a month ago that would work to bring prices down but it has to be done by everyone. It said buy gasoline at a few selected stations and don\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\’t buy at the others. Thier gasoilne supply storage tanks would fill up in just a couple days and they would be forced to price thier gas cheaper to sell it. Then go to just those stations that have lowered thier price. The other stations that are now not selling thier gas would bring thier prices down. Just buying gas at the stations that has the lowest prices will force the others to sell thiers cheaper. It might be a small wait in line if everyone did it but this would definatly bring the prices down. Now all we need is a site on the web and television to tell everyone which stations to buy at and which ones to not buy at. This article said it would only be a matter of a few months befor gasoline became affordable again. I can see where it would work. How about not buying at and chain thats british or venesualian owned for starts. We need a list of which stations to avoid and which ones to buy at, then when they bring thier prices down just buy at those cheaper stations. I think it would force prices down in a hurry. Anyone want to build a website that informs everyone where to buy gas for that couple weeks? Its atleast worth a try.
