looking at getting a second x-15 for the bow of my boat. my questions are what does the front unit show if it is networked in to the counsel unit that has gps and a mapping chip. will it only show depth and fish or will it show everything that the counsel unit shows such as where you are on the lake all the contous etc.

Honestly the network has little use for most people (IMHO), The biggest things you can do with it is share the GPS, I\’ll guess this is the reason 90% of the people do it. Honestly I don\’t have my units networked. 2 major reasons why I don\’t find the need.

    1. No, you cannot share countor map cards. You need a card for each unit or you need to swap the card between units.
    2. You can\’t share transducers. You need another transducer.

About the only thing I care about info wise between the units is sharing way points, and since you can do that with the SD cards, I won\’t bother hooking it up. I also have two GPS antenna\’s there is no need for me to do it.

You cannot network 2 LCX 15.

They use the LGC 12 antenna, needs to be LGC 2000 or higher.

I agree 100% with Nick, really no point in networking, seems to cause more problems that it does good right now.
