    What a dummy!

NEW YORK (AP) — New York Knicks guard Stephon Marbury defended Michael Vick, calling dogfighting a sport and comparing it to hunting.

Marbury spoke Monday about the federal dogfighting conspiracy charges against Vick while promoting his basketball shoe in Albany, N.Y.

“I think it’s tough,” Marbury said, according to Albany TV station Capital News 9. “I think, you know, we don’t say anything about people who shoot deer or shoot other animals. You know, from what I hear, dogfighting is a sport. It’s just behind closed doors.”

On Monday, Vick said through a lawyer that he will plead guilty to a federal charge of conspiracy to travel in interstate commerce in aid of unlawful activities and conspiracy to sponsor a dog in an animal fighting venture. He also faces possible prosecution in Virginia.

“I think it’s tough that we build Michael Vick up and then we break him down,” Marbury said. “I think he’s one of the superb athletes, and he’s a good human being. I just think that he fell into a bad situation.”

Not so much Marbury, but I think the NCAAP and others are basically stating that people are crucifying Vick more for killing/abusing dogs than they do for people who commit murder, do drugs, or beat/abuse their wives etc.. — and that he deserves his 2nd chance after he’s paid his debt to society.

I’m not defending him by any means, I think it’s disgusting what he was involved in.. just stating what I’m seeing.

Wouldn’t dog fighting be more like somebody raising deer to fight them and nothing like hunting deer But hey, I bet Stephon is an expert on both

From the little English I could understand, Roy Jones Jr. made similar comments.

Crumpler also made comments about what a good guy Vick is and how sorry he is and how much he is hurting…so is he sorry/hurting for the animal cruelty (and other illegal activities), or sorry/hurting that he got caught? I’m going with because he got caught.

The NAACP will continue and always has kept racism alive in this country. Members of the NAACP are more racist than
whites. As for these sports heroes, they sure are some true
role models I want my child looking up to. Anyone who sits down to waste 3-4hrs on any of these overpaid gang members better re-evaluate their leisure time. Take your kid fishing.

I could not agree more! What a waste of a day!
