It’s been 10 years since i was there, but any of the luck we had came on portage lakes, the main lake seemed way over-fished. I’m not sure if Eagle Island has boats at this lake, but if you get a chance, portage to Teaguau Lake (pronounced Teegun) Over 1000ft deep, Indian petroglyph, and amazing scenery. One of my most memorable lakes. Great lake trout and big pike.

Bottle bay area is always good for a few during the day. Work the mouths of the bays. Also, in the evenings, head to the channel between slaughterhouse and the Pine Beach Lodge. It has real steep high walls on the north(?) side, you can’t miss it. Drag deep both sides with something like a thunderstick and also try the middle area of the channel and jig the biggest fatheads you can get. Get there early because it fills up. This is where the big ones are, and lots of em’. Stop in at Pine Beach Lodge for a Cuban Cigar. Say hi to Rick and Helen.

The other stuff sounds good but skip the Cuban cigar if you are an American citizen.
