would like to take the wife & 2 boys fishing in this area in mid Sept. been many years since i fished these pools. where should i stay. any good motels with fish cleaning station? is Evert’s a good choice? money is a little tight with school starting . THANKS!!! 
Hey trapper, we rented Jarrad fluekigers services last holloween and had a ball verticle jigging the tailrace below lock and dam 5. Caught some nice saugers and a 4 pound walleye. All in all we caught around 200 fish and went through about 50 dozen minnows that we brought with us. Jarrad at the time said if we wanted to come again in the fall he would gaurantee us our limits of 4 pound suaugers at lock and dam 4. Were planning on going again this fall, later
Limits of 4 lb saugers? Hmmmmmm…. 
Please do consider letting the larger saugers go and keeping the 16″ ‘gers that are so terribly plentiful that time of year.
