maybe a lot of you already know about this site but i just found it myself and i think it is awesome so i wanted to pass it along. picasa2 has a free download for sorting, organizing, and viewing pictures on your pc. we downloaded some trailcam pics and the zooming and adding light features are great.some pictures we thought were nothing ended up showing deer back in the brush with the zoom and pictures at night that were a little dark and hard to make out come out clear as a bell when you add light to it. totally impressed with this download

I agree with you on Picasa. Very handy program, easy to use, and FREE!

Ya, I have used picassa for years and years. FREE. Fact, I used it to make a post to the site in the Salmon and Trout speciality forum. Posted a few pic’s of my recent trip to the upper Colorado River. It is so simple to use.

Picassa.com will get you all there.

If you link out to photos to photo hosting sites be sure that they are no wider than 450 pixels or you will stretch the page here on the site.

Using the photo upload system here on the site is FAR easier and quicker than using photobucket or other photo hosting sites once you get the file sizing figured out. The other nice thing about uploading photos to the IDA server is that they’ll always be part of the post you added them to. If you browse old threads you’ll find nearly all photos added using a hosting site are missing… so the posts that are loaded with all those red “X’s” indicating a missing file.

You offer photohosting here? I’ve never seen it listed anywhere on the site, but that’s not unusual for me!

Well I’ll be dipped! 327 posts and I never noticed that, always uncheck that box so I don’t get the preview first. I’ve never had a problem posting a pic, but always have them hosted on another site. Thanks for the info, Steve!

Jim…that is what is great about IDA…No need to host pictures, and PM’s are allowed!
