Thanks for sharing Steve. That must be the gal that became a mom not to long ago. Wedding dress are a long way off around our house but we sure are enjoying them being young now.

Thanks everybody. Everything was great, no problems at all. Around 9PM I asked my daughter if she was having fun and her reply was that “This is exactly like I always dreamed it would be”. It doesn’t get any better than that!
This is actually Daughter #2. The first one eloped a year and a half ago and had a son last December (my FUTURE fishing buddy ). So now they’re both gone and the house seems very empty.

Mike W looks like you were having a lot of fun even if your girls were catching Bass Enjoy it while you can, they grow up way too fast.

    Steve,
great pics and cool story. Daughters are great fishing buddies as you know, grandsons rank up there too. My daughter is helping me move as I write this, as I’m gonna be without Internet for a few days. Looks like she’s back for the next load, gotta go.

Congrats Steve. Look at it this way: you didn’t lose a daughter you gained a son-in-law. AND someday even more grandkids to follow. Kids and grandkids are precious. You will have a blast playing with your grandkids when the day comes that you have more. And that means more kids to share your love of fishing with.
    Thanks, Bill

    Well guy,this will pass also…..
I’ve been a “empty nester” for a few years now and me and the wife just LOVE it !!
Don’t get me wrong here,I love both my daughters to death, even now when my youngest(27) and her husband come up from Waterloo and stay with us (the oldest lives in town here)they are more than welcome BUT…….
Having our house to ourselves the past few years has been a blast….and we are growing even closer as time goes on, and the freedom , after 20+ years ,has been fantastic!!
For everything there is a season my friend so ENJOY….
The house will fill again many times…..but then they go HOME

Great pictures Steve! Thanks for the reminder also. I guess I need to start saving for my daughter and her wedding day since 20 years or more from now it will probably cost double.
