I just recieved my microwave, fridge, and stove i ordered thru Sears. My stove is great but my microwave is completely dented in on one side and my fridge door has 5 dents in the front!.. I called the manager and he tried talking me into a 5% discount on the microwave which would be $20 on a $400 microwave.. I told him i want a replacement and i want a new door for the fridge, now i have to take them in for him to look at.. Anyone else ever deal with anything like this?

If the items were delivered like that you should tell him that it would be up to Sears to pick them up and replace the items. I know for a fact that Sears has a regular service person that should attend to such things. If he balks at that, tell him you will call customer service.

Im plannin on takin the items in myself (it’s a short drive), just so i can talk to someone face to face.. Im just upset that i paid good money and didn’t get my moneys worth .. the boxes were fine upon arrival, so it didn’t happen in shipping.

They just dropped the items off still in the box and me and my brother brought them in the house, so i didn’t notice right away.

A guy I work with bought a washer and dryer from Sears about 6 months ago. The washer was basically falling apart when he tried to use it. He had a terrible time getting any kind of satisfaction out of Sears, they didn’t want to do anything for him. He finally talked to someone up the managment chain in Chicago and they then agreed to replace the bad unit. His experience was pretty poor. This was with the Sears store in St. Paul.

I am assuming that you purchased these on a credit card??? If so your first step should be to put a hold on the payment with Visa and let Sears know you have done so until this issue is taken care of to your liking. Watch how “high” they jump for you then…RR
