Let’s go A-Rod! He should track down Barroid’s record within the next 10 years.

If I take steroids, can I hit home runs? It’s not the steroids that hit the home runs, it’s the player. You can hate Bonds, his personality, his selfishness, his team, but you can’t hate that he broke a record. The steroids MAY have helped, but they didn’t set the record, he still has to be good enough in the 2 to 3 at bats he gets per game to hit one outta the park! This is usually at least 4 but everyone and their grandma won’t pitch to him. That’s good, and that is why he was hitting a home run 1 per 8.7 at bats, he saw a lot more pitches coming by him but none were in the zone so they don’t count as an official at bat. I don’t like Mr. Bonds, but I sure do admire his record!!!

if I take steroids even I might hit a home run.. who knows? Id say a performance enhancer enhances performance… an enhanced performance is cheating.. since many other PLAYERS who CAN hit home runs are NOT taking it… Id bet THEY would consider it cheating… so just because taking steroids wont make a regular person into Barry Bonds.. it very well might make an already great player (perhaps like ARod) into someone who would easily eclipse Bonds.. just as he eclipsed Aaron… who for SURE didnt use them….. I guess if Bonds is the new standard.. then maybe they should just legalize them so EVERYONE has a fair chance of beating him… otherwise I would certainly say that cheating has done Bonds good.. and the game harm…. simple as that… as to just how good Bonds would be without them.. well.. who knows… pretty darn good… but good enough? thats the question that cant be answered… but it should never have had to have been asked…. (and yeah.. I KNOW he hasnt been publicly PROVEN to have used them.. but I have a feeling thats just around the corner).. I dont like bonds either.. and I have practically no respect for his “record”.. something that wasnt done right… really wasnt done at all was it? whats next..? is he going to put lead into a big walleye and catch the world record there? and will people admire that too? I mean.. afterall.. he has to be good enough to catch one thats pretty big in the first place.. and then..what the heck.. just a bit of lead to push her over the top… whats the harm? whos going to know? whos going to care? perfectly fair Id say…. and so what if maybe he netted the fish instead of used hook and line.. and maybe he lied about the line class too…. who cares?.. fair is fair…

(I hope no one thinks Im picking on them… sorry if they do.. Im just picking on Bonds record.. well.. thats what Im trying to do anyway)

Without the juice he would be at roughly 650 right now.

This article kinda sums up how I feel. You don’t have to agree with me, but you will also not chance my perception of the modern game. Yes, good hand eye co-ordination is a must, but the extra power and speed of artificially inflated muscles sure helps get it past the fence instead of to the warning track.
Baseball has been a joke since 1994. Bonds and a few others only emphasize the clown performance of the circus.

Anyhow have fun in your duck blind looking for other pots to stir. I would also take that “Hillary for Prez” sticker off your bumper. She has to chance.

I didn’t realize you were concerned about my references to Barry Bonds. I am an avid baseball fan and he makes me sick. Sorry if my comments about a person you don’t even know urine you off to the point that you want mix it up on the IDA website. You truly are a keyboard warrior and I bow to your great knowledge. Maybe next time you are paging through this great website and someones comments make you mad you can just keep moving along and remember there are other websites to visit. I hear the Liberal left has many for people who like to urine and moan and degrade other people while contributing very little to mix. Might be a good fit.

You know Barry pretty well I take it huh to know him that well? An you also might just wanna look back at all of waterfowlers previous post and you will see he has brought more to the sight that you ever have! He is without a doubt one of the most advanced waterfowlers on this site and contributes greatly so there is no need to go there sayinh he does nothing for here. I planned to stay out of this Bonds issue but you are completly wrong on your post about him doing nothing for the site. So lets stop the pissing match you got going and get back to the topic please. Thanks Big E

Don’t worry about what I do on the keyboard, I to am an avid baseball fan. And I can only assume you know Barry personally since you can say what you want I have watched you in previous post’s berate people for what they feel is a trophy as well, guess your above everyone else. And you also have no idea on my political views as well, but as I have seen all over the web american flags in avatar= over the top–political response in every post—which last I ck’d isn’t allowed on this site Have great day

Where did I say anything about his contributions to the site? If you are going to speak up at least make an effort to make sense.

I have an idea, we’ll just agree to disagree.
You must have a ton of time to be researching my past posts over the last few years and I cannot compete with such internet saavy. So again I’ll lay down my weapon and surrender to your superior intellect. Just for the record that was the only other issue I’ve ever had on this site and it was resolved by two men talking it over. I never have degraded anothers idea on a trophy.
    Have a great day!

Too much has been said about this already and I knew it would get out of hand, but I have to say this. What I hate the most is watching him (or anyone for that matter)hit a home run, stop and stare as it flies away, then he points to the sky with both hands, kiss’s his fingers or something like that, touches his chest, jog’s around the bases and then pauses to jump on home plate for emphasis. This behavior just makes me ill. I like watching the tape of Hank hitting his and just moving on. Some of these athelete’s today need to just play the game and leave it at that. Earl Campbell from the Houston Oiler’s was one of my favorites. He took the ball and ran over people but when he got to the endzone he just flipped the ball to the ref and walked to the sidelines. No need for finger pointing or any other BS.

Why is everyone dodging the biggest performance enchancing DRUG in all of Baseball.

Amphetamines SPEED “GREENIES” taken by almost every athlete to play the game including Wades stars of yesteryear.

Agreed with the excessive celebrations. My all time favorite is how Barry Sanders just handed the ref the ball. Like he has done it before, and will do it again, here you go, yay, now I am done. There needs to be more of that happening!
