Anyone have a decent, honest mechanic in the NM metro (Crystal area) that they can recommend? Brakes on a Oldsmobile is my diagnosis.

Zanebrook Tire and Auto. They are a Goodyear shop at the intersection on Brooklyn Blvd and Zane in Brooklyn Park. I know everyone from the owner down personally. Call and talk to Rick or Sheldon 763 566 4841. You won’t be dissapointed.

Market Tire on West Broadway by Target is pretty good. There’s also a Carl’s tire across the street that does decent work as well. If you’re looking for something cheap to get by there’s Jack’s Auto on 81 by the airport that may be able to help.

I like to use Bobby and Steve’s Auto World, especially the one off of 394 and Penn. The owner (TJ) is very honest and there work is awsome and fast.

Muffler Clinic…On hwy 81 by Bass Lake Road. You have to go up to the lights south of BLR to get onto the service road. Used them for years and they are honest and do great work.

Ron’s Auto! By far the best around. He usually has a 2 week wait, but well worth it. S Mpls though, not NW subs. Very old school-hand written detailed recipts, no un-called for repairs, and if he notices something fishy when he has the motor torn apart he will call you and ask if you want it fixed since the motor is already apart and NOT charge the book rate for it. Last time I was in I had 2 other estimates for $1225(Bobby & Steves)-$1310(another local shop). He did it for $865.00! Ron rocks. I’ve been going there since I started driving back in 1984 and never had a problem!

Ryan if you want to do this yourself, I have all the tools you need (air tools). If it is front pads/rotor it is about an hour job, and you could save some money.
