I am in the middle of putting in a new floor in the old boat.My ? is would you carpet each piece or do the foor as one. There will be three pieces.Doing it in pieces I would be able to take it up if i need to work on the live wells again. Down side Is the seams for sand and what ever to work into, any thoughts on this?

I would do 3 pieces, just because, if one section wears more, you can just do that panel. Plus like you said, it makes the livewells more accesable for repairs/upgrades !

I redid my Alumacraft floor and did each piece seperate. I used each piece of plywood as a template and made them exactly the same as the old piece. I then layed the new plywood out and cut my carpet accordingly, allowing extra for folding under. That way you can glue each piece “and” fold some excess under and staple it. Makes for a much neater looking job. Apply your glue and then lay the carpet on and adjust as necessary. Roll it out with your wifes rolling pin to get all the bubbles out Allow time for your glue to dry before folding and stapling.

I redid the floor in my boat a couple of years ago and posted it here you might get some good tips from that Thread. This year I am going to have to redo the deck of my boat.
