I know we have a few baseball fans around here. Just thought I would ask who you think has the best swing in baseball. This can be present day or guys that are retired.

For me it is Griffy JR. I can watch him all day. If he didn’t have all the injuries I think we would all be talking about him setting the records.

Just think of him and A-Rod in the same line up today.

Torii Hunter has a sweet swing! And when he connects, I love how he flips the bat…

Griff definitely has that long sweet swing. It is awesome. If he would never have had unjury problems, would have likely been top 5 all time (and IMO better than Bonds).

Prince Fielder has a really natural lefty swing that is fun to watch, and Ryan Braun’s swing is very good for a righty.

Paul Molitor had one of the sweetest swings for a righty. Not an elongated homrerun stroke like alot of the classic “sweet swings”, but just a textbook contact stroke. Like Griff, if he never got hurt, could have been an all time great.

Mauer’s swing is as pure as it gets.

    Thats a tough one!

Modern day I would say it has to be none other than Joe Mauer! That kid has one heck of pretty looking swing. Put him with the hardest dirtest pitcher around and he will slap on the other way, pull it up the middle or take him hard down the line!

All time is Ted Williams! No question in my mind.

I like the guys that can control the bat and pick their spots. Take one pitch to left and in the next at bat, send it down the right field line. In my lifetime, guys like Carew and Boggs come to mind, in today’s game, nobody does this as well as Ichiro.

Mauer’s got a great swing, but if we’re talking about consistency and power, I would have to say Albert Pujols has the sweetest swing.

Griffy in this day and age….but Rod Carew could hit the ball anywhere any time.

    Williams
    Gehrig
    Mantle
    Gwynn
    Carew
    Mattingly (the healthy Mattingly)
    Yaztremski

    Right-Handers
    Hornsby
    Foxx
    Mays
    Speaker
    Aaron
    Dimaggio
    Rodriguez
    Pujols
    Clemente

I just don’t know enough about Josh Gibson but he bears mentioning. Some consider him the best Righty of all time.

Berkman, Texeira, and Chipper are all sweet current hitting switch hitters.

Griffey hands down. As far as watching a guy swing for the moon I still like watching Geoff Jenkins,he doesn’t cheat himself out of any cut. Ryan Braun is fun to watch for a rookie.

I am a die hard Brewer fan, but Grif gets my vote. I agree he would be one of the all time greats if he would have stayed healthy!! Moly had a pretty nice swing as well!

Its a fluid motion that does not look stressed. His swing is simply gracefull.

Mauers swing is something that will be disected for years to come if he can stay healthy.

Hands down Griffy has the best overall looking swing.

Now… Best “base-hit” swing. Tony Gwynn.

Barry Bonds is the most dominant baseball player to ever play. A lot of people don’t like him, but no one has ever contolled the tempo of a ballgame like he has. Pitchers are scared to pitch to him, and for good reason.

Ya they are afraid that they might hit his big head. JK

I have to agree with JR for my fav but Ichrio is pretty awesome to watch too. His bat control is unbelievable.
