Bass Tourney Question

As a bass tournament angler for 30 years I have fished small tourneys to national circuts. Rules vary with each and every one of them. The gas pump rule is mainly for safety reasons and curtousy to non competators. It is up to the angler to know the rules and abide by them. If this touney did not have rules against fishing near pumps then it is fair game.
Fishing the Bassmaster’s weekend series on White fish one of the aglers used a tin boat(sorry guys) in order to access a body of water that most thought was off limits. It was not and he cashed a check. What Corey did was pratice, found fish, caught fish and cashed a check. All with-in the rules.
    Congratulations Corey.

#2 alert to other team that was also fishig the marina we had caught a nice fish? also NO…..

My Nephew and I were fishing the same area (20 – 50 yards South) and no “There was never any yelling” We fished the other side of the marina and I believe we caught three to four fish before Corey and his partner had caught anything. No yelling on our part either. High fives but also did not want to let Corey and partner know!!! And yes, it was 7:20 – 7:25 before we got there. We got there about 2-3 minutes before Corey and his partner. We finished 7th and had a great time.

Corey, why didn’t you complete your comment to us when you arrived? “Morning gentlemen, good luck” You could have also added ” We’re going to fish over here (Bait Tank) and catch bigger fish than you, because we know they’re here”. Now that we know the spot you better get a faster boat for next year

Corey – Great job by both you and your partner. Look forward to fishing in the tournament next year.
