I know this a last minute question, but are there any reports for the lakes in the Deer River, MN area? Leaving tommorow and staying on Sand Lake, but usually pull the boat to fish Bowstring and Winnie as well.

    Thanks

Jiggin- My dad has a cabin on little Jessie in that area. We were up there last weekend and did really well on the walleyes. Mainly slip bobbering with a leech in 16-18 feet of water. Good luck, you can’t go wrong in that area.

Returned late Saturday and was tough fishing. First part of the week was “HOT”, no wind and in the 90’s. Pulled our boats and went to Bowstring on Thursday and Friday. Caught more walleyes in one day than we did in the first four days on Sand. Different days though, overcast and a nice chop. Raining Thursday morning, so only fished 4 hours and caught 17 walleyes using Spinners with leeches in 12 – 14 ft. Friday was different and caught them 6 – 8 ft. in the weeds.

Thanks for the info I received.
