    How’s this for a good week’s work:

-Losing my job (Friday’s my last day).
-My AC is officially toast during the hottest time of the year.
-My girlfriend of 2 years decided to call it a day.

All that is a span of about 5 days!

The good news is that I got a LOT of fishing on Mille Lacs in during the last 2 weeks! I got a new pr (length-wise) with a 28 1/8 incher. So there is something good that’s coming from all this, right?

If you can’t laugh a little bit even in the face of some crappy times, we’d certainly go nuts. Thank god for good friends, good family, and great fishing!

    Better news,

There are lots of jobs out there…

    Fans are cheap…..

Women, like Ramen Noodles, are a dime a dozen….

But most importantly, and certainly not to be forgotten, you still are able to get up tomorrow and do it all over again.

What do you do for work? Maybe IDA jobsearch can help you out.

Take that back, I looked, what kind of software?

A tough week for sure, keep your head up, in fact I logged online today to look at jobs a little too, never know something great may come along, and you gotta be looking to find it.

Sage advice, amigo. I will take it to heart.

I’ve dealt in ERP software and security/configuration mgmt software. Basically software application sales. A fellow IDA’r set me up with a Honeywell opp a few weeks back, but the numbers just didn’t match up, unfortunately. Thanks for the help with that one, however (you know who you are!).

Got an interview tomorrow morning, so we’ll see how that goes.

You aren’t kidding! I must’ve logged about 80 hours on the lake with most of that listening to Kickin’ KKIN 94.3 … and I swear to God that 95% of the songs could’ve been written by me during the last week! I now “get” some of the lyrics, amazing as that may seem.

Luckily, I have 2 cats … my dog would surely be dead as somebody would have kicked him last week. No doubt about it….

Congrats on the hog bro! When are you heading back to the cabin? Wish I could have made it up over the last couple of weekends, but this softball thing seems to keep me busy every weekend. As for the rest of your issues, unfortunately chit happens and all we can do is exactly what you did in making lemonade out of the lemons you were given.

Did they play the song where the guy talks the whole time, about the kid in the wheel chair on the C.B. and how his old man was a trucker and died in a wreck? Then at the end all the truckers came to his house to give hime a ride…

Sniffle, sniffle, dang I love that song….

Man, that song vaguely rings a bell … sounds like it might be of the same ilk as “Hillbilly Heaven” where it’s mostly talking with a few notes sprinkled in for good measure. Man, I love old school country music….
