Best way to Escanaba

    Anyone have a good way to get there? I’ve looked at the Atlas,but once you get past Wausau,there isn’t a good road that I can see. How long is it going to take me?

    I was there a few years back and also travel out to Green Bay for work. We got off 29 in Shawano I believe and took smaller roads from there. 29 from I94 to there is 4 lanes, even passed Wausau.

    I’m sure others will have opinions from that point.

    I agree, I have taken a few ways and going 29 to Shawano and up seemed to be the quickest.

    Wasau to Shawano and then I go over to Oconto and North. It avoids all the small towns on 6.

    I just took this trip two weeks ago. Went to Shawano and then took 22 over to 41 and then up 35. Good roads all the way.

    I am in Northern MN, so I get on Highway 2 at Erskine and stay on it for roughly 500 miles and I’m there. Are you going for the FLW event? I’m leaving friday after work, driving the 10 hours there and pre-fishing Sat-Tuesday and then the tournament and then the 10 hour drive home…….Man it will be nice to get back to work, work will almost be a vacation to me:)

    If I make the Championship in Cleveland,I think I’ll book round trip! I’m sitting 14th in Points so chances are I’ll be making that trip!

    (Don’t think I’ll be doing anything with NWA!)

    Thanks Rigging Guy. I’m in 72nd place right now, so I NEED a good tournament to get into the top 50 so I can make it to cleveland for the championship……….Yea 4 footers or less everyday would be great……I’m sure one or more of the days it will be a little rough out there.
