My son’s tour through Afghanistan has come to a close! He’s scheduled to arrive in Baltimore tonight – he left Khandahar on Sunday and spent a few days at Mannas AFB before his flights back to the states. The wife and I were going to fly out to Baltimore to be there when he got in but he kind of ‘implied’ that he would rather spend some time ‘reconnecting’ with his fiance. I can respect that!

They’ll be making a trip to WI later in July to spend some time with the family. I can’t wait to see him again, give him a huge bearhug, and buy him a couple of .

I want to thank all of the IDAers that have sent him emails and care packages during his stay over there… I know he greatly appreciated the thoughts and support!

    King,
You can definitely add me to the list of people that are thankful for his service. It would be great if you could let us know when he’ll be in town and maybe we could plan another GTG at the Borderline in Lakeland again. I would enjoy buying him a

Thanks again, all, for your kind words and support .

He’s coming ‘home’ to Hudson for a few weeks at the end of the month (week of July 22nd and the week of the 29th). I hope to get him out on the water a few times and get him hooked into some nice fish… he hasn’t had much luck in the past when I’ve taken him out!

I think having an impromptu GTG at Borderlines while he’s out here would be a great idea!

Let us know if he can find time to have a cold one. I know I would do my best to stop in to thank him in person.
