I’m looking to add a few rods to my collection (because you can never have enough ) and I’m looking at the Fenwick Techna’s to mix it up. I’m looking at the 6’6″ medium for jigging and a 7′ medium light for live bait rig. Primary chase the eye’s—any input from my fellow IDAer’s is appreciated .

The existing rods are primarily St. Croix Avids for comparison.

    I think a 6’6″ is a little long for jigging for me…

You will love the 7″ML for live bait rigging. The pole is very light. I would go with the 6″ for jigging. All Techna’s have a life time warranty. You send in 9.95 for shipping and handling.

I have owned the Fenwick Techna Avid 6-6″ and the 7′-0″ for years now. Love to fish with them both. The 6′-6″ for jigging. The 7′-0″ mostly for throwing shallow diving crankbaits. Purchase them!!!

I’ve heard enough, it sounds like two more rods for the collection .

    Thanks for the input

I have one Techna rod that has held up perfectly for many years.
