Plan now to attend August 22-24, 2003. Join in the learning and sharing with custom fishing rod builders from coast to coast and border to border at Breezy Point, MN. The North Central Regional Custom Rod Builders welcome you. Hands-on seminars and much more.
Registration is $45, non-Guild Member $70. Lunch on Saturday, dinner Friday night and banquet and entertainment Saturday night included. Three meals, plus all the extras! A Custom Fishing Rod to display will also be required for the Builders Showcase. There will be a public open house and prizes.
The Pequot Lakes High School is the venue for the seminars. Pelican Lakes Conservation Club in Breezy Point will provide the meals/banquet and entertainment facilities. Motels in the area have special room rates available.
Eighteen seminars will provide a variety of choices as to what you need and want to learn. Experienced instructors will show and tell, then let you do the same thing on your custom rod. Hands-on personal instruction. Beginning to advanced seminars will be offered in 4 to 8 hour blocks. Plenty of time to learn is being provided in each seminar. There may be an additional fee for some of the materials for the classes. Class details will be available soon.
Beginners Rod Building Class will start at 1 PM Friday August 22. Fee for this class which includes all materials to build a rod of your choice is $200. Spin, casting or fly rod components, disposables, use of tools, Rod Guild membership and a free hat and 15 hours of professional instruction are included in this class. Class size is limited to 16 participants.
