In response to the “Need a little help” post from last week, I ended up taking my son and nephew down to Pool 2. We got a pretty later start, and I wasn’t to sure if the weather would cooperate… so Pool 2 was the logical choice. We setup on a favorite wingdam of mine, and the kids proceeded to catch fish left and right! Mostly smaller channel cats, but a few in the 4-5# range kept them mighty busy. My son also caught his first walleye ever!
Thanks to all who helped out. The fishing trip we had will last a lifetime!

Glad to here things worked out. For numbers and fun, pool 2 is tough to beat. And even if the little ones didnt get the big eye-I bet it was a trill to have one come in the boat. Did you let them net it???

Besides, 5lb cats probably gave them all the fight they can handle.
