I landed two fish last night that had a parasite looking worm or larvae in their mouths. The mouths were lined with this grayish/white larvae that looked alot like a maggot. Any idea wht this is and is it dangerous to the fish or humans?

I am not sure what they are, but I have been seeing them in just about every walleye I catch out of Lake Wissota (WI). Does anybody know what they are?

I have been researching and came up with a Chronomid Worm larvae. Has anyone heard of this and is it what we are seeing? Apparently it is a favorite larval protein that the Walleye find emerging on the rocks and as the feed on them some remain in the mouth.

    Thanks
    John
