Kicker Motor

Gents,

I finally have landed a new job and will be purchasing a kicker for my sportfish. I am either going T8 or Merc. 9.9. I will probably go with the merc. just because my main engine is a 175 merc.
I obviously want the best deal I can find. Do any of you know a good place to buy new from? I will need controls with it –
I want to start pricing them and am hoping to find maybe some last year models being pushed of the shelves. Please let me know if you know of any sales or good places to buy them. thanks

When I shopped for my last one. I found LaCannes was about $375 cheaper than anyone else when I bought my 2005 ProKicker. My contact is no longer there but I think if you ask for Nick, he can help you out. Someone correct me if it is not Nick @ LaCannes.

Make sure you shop around, you would be amazed. I found them aynwhere from $2500-$3300 installed.

For your T8, check with Marine Specialties in Red Wing. I bought mine there last year….Mark Strickland, the manager there, is an IDA’er too!

I bought a new T8 last fall from Melrose Marine for $2,605.00 which included tax, remote controls, plus they installed controls and rigged it up for nothing. Worth the drive if you ask me. I don’t think you will find too many places with these options for this price. Ask for Sheila or Joe if you call them.
