Looking for a resort in northern WI

The gal and I are trying to plan a few days away up north. I have enough family in the Polk and Burnett county areas that I usually just go there, but we would like to get a little farther away. I was thinking the obvious Hayward area. Does anyone have any resorts or cabins they would reccomend. Nothing too fancy, but nice enough that a girl can survive (like a plug in for a hair dryer ) Something on a lake would be nice with a dock to keep the boat on for a few days.

If you have anything let me know,

    Thanks in advance

    Hi,

My family stays at Treelands on the big Chip each year, which is very nice. I also like to stay at the Chip Wa Motel when it is just me fishing as I only need a place to sleep, although you are near quite a few places to fish when you stay there off cc.

I would also give the Mystic Moose a look for a smaller resort on a nice smaller lake. I have met the owner Jim, and he is a very nice guy. I have fished Moose a number of times.

A bit further west, Land O’ Lakes area is nice. I use a guide from that area, not many tourists.

Nelson Lake Landing has always been good to me. Believe it or not, it’s on Nelson Lake in Hayward. 715-634-4175. The motel rooms are very nice, and the fishing usually isn’t too bad, either.
