Sorry if this has been posted already.

I can’t imagine how drunk the owner of this 42 ft Sea Ray was when he “landed” on shore. Then the moron decides it’s a good idea to run away. He is very lucky nobody was seriously injured. It will be interesting to see the what happens to the owner this week.

amazing… I was out in the Hudson Channel when this happened – a police (DNR maybe?) boat went flying past me, heading up towards Stillwater right around midnight. I wondered what was going on…

I was out on the Croix a lot this last weekend – traffic was pretty heavy with the nice weather we had. Considering the number of ‘party barges’ running around, I not too surprised something like this happened. Thank God nobody (especially anyone else) was hurt.

I heard a little inside info that I won’t share here but apparently the boat was in the $400,000 range. OUCH!
    Expensive weekend.

Sorry if the link didn’t work. Try going to http://www.kstp.com and do a search, you should find it.

I don’t think that boat has much trade-in value anymore but I could sell him a new Sea Ray….We’ll just take the lower unit off this one and save him the trouble this time.

Unless the divers are in. Then that could very well be you!

There you go directing my focus towards October again
I’m making a one night run to some of our common-ground tomorrow. I will be in Pine river and Nisswa Tuesday a.m. through Wednesday.

And I am willing to bet he walks with a little fine.

He will be back driven a new rig by the end of the month.

probably true… big money pays for good lawyers and good insurance… too bad they can’t ‘lose’ their boating license for stupid acts like this.

If that boat were a 26’er it could have been a buddy of mine named Bear.

I don’t think Bear would have been flying around the river at midnight. Maybe bellied up to the bar at the Sports Club though..

Without naming names, I heard the boat is owned by someone that owns a bar in Bayport.
