What works for an extension handle on a Merc 9.9 kicker? I need one, too far a reach. My Minnkota extension handle does not get the circumference to go over the handle, Helmsate makes one but they do not list the size as far as going over the handle, maybe pvc pipe somehbow?

I’m going to order this for my next Pro Kicker on the advice of Jim Carroll. He said this is what most of the PWT guys use and he feels is the best on the market. Good Luck. (He gets the fixed btw)

I just saw a guy on the river with a piece of thinner pvc pipe slit on the end, placed over the grip and tightened down with a wrap around clamp…he had it all painted and didnt look all that bad…worked great too..said it was less then $5.oo…jay

I will tell you the cheapest thing to use is a wiffle ball bat. I cut the end of a little at a time until it fit snuggly on my kicker. I then used a little bit of hockey stick tape, black, and twisted it while I rolled it on and it gave it a ribbed grip that worked great with gloves or wet hands. $2.00 bat, $2.00 roll of tape (to be used on several bats).. Try it, it works great.
