Spare Ignition Keys

I recently purchased an older Crestliner, 89, with a 70 h.p.Yamaha that I need a second set of keys for. Where can I go to get ignition keys cut for a boat? Sorry if this is a silly question, but the current key has a plug on the end of it and I don’t remember seeing any of these blanks at Home Depot last time I had a house key cut.

    Thanks in advance.

Bring the key into a Yamaha dealer.

You could try and get the serial number off of the ignition/throtle control and order a key also but going into the dealer would be best.

I would think any Yamaha dealer. There might be a number on the key that you would need to give them.
    Thanks, Bill

I just took my 03′ Alumacraft keys into a professional locksmith and he was able to make good copies. Probably cheaper then a dealer.

I have also used a local locksmith for many years and they always had the blanks around.

Minneapolis Lock and Key … too far away for you, but someone else might be wondering the same thing in the cities.

Thanks for the suggestions all. I think that I will try the locksmith angle before the dealer.
