Looking for a city or place (not in the metro area) that has a great fireworks show on the 4th of July. I’m going on a vacation with no set plans over the 4th and would like to catch a real good show.
    Thanks.

Easily….DULUTH!!! It was easily the best I have ever been to. Try to get up there early and grab a spot on Skyline Parkway. You will be about eye level or above the fireworks and it is pretty neat to watch them from that amazing view looking over the city and the water.

Crosby. Small city with a 30-40 minute non-stop show.

Lay a blanket in the baseball field, sit back and enjoy.

Lake Mille Lacs just minutes away.

Well the other might say Duluth or Crosby is the best fireworks show; Im going to have to disagree. Baudette or Lake of the Woods whatever you prefer to call it…easily has one of the best fireworks show in the state. Theres a few things we pride ourself on the top two being the fireworks show during the 4th and our FISHING! Its like getting the best of both world’s! Great place to take a little vacation. Also, during the 4th theres tons of things going on up town in and out the resorts. Hope I could help. -Tara-

I haven’t seen Crosby or Duluth’s, but I have seen the show in Garrison a few years back and it was spectacular. I haven’t been there since, but I would guess it is about the same. We sat in a boat in Garrison Bay and watched them right over our heads.

Well if you need to hear the booms i cant help you but if you are looking for a great light show ,nothing beats being in the middle of Mille Lacs Lake . You should be able to see fireworks in a 360 degree circle . Even some of the resorts have pretty good shows , as well as the local pyrotechs. Besides if the fish are biting you get an added bonus
