Garmin help

    I have a garmin 240 and it will not come off of the Simulator mode. I read the instr. and it says to simply shut off the unit, this does not help. Any ideas out there?

    You might want to check to see if your transducer is hooked up and working. I just installed my 240 into a new boat. I checked the power before hooking up the transducer and the unit started up in stimulator mode.

    After hooking up the transducer, the unit fired up as normal. Hope this helps.

    Yep, if the transducer cable is loose or not plugged in the unit will fire up in simulator mode. That would be my first check.
