    the gill was just a hair over 9 inches. we probably threw back at least a half dozen of them, but i kept one for proof…lol, caught them all ice fishing in febuary on a lake by detroit lakes in 8 feet of water.

    Tip for picture takers:

    Don’t hold the reference subject (pop can) too far away from the camera. It makes the fish look bigger… or something like that.
