Sure glad I am driving a diesel. I am paying anwhere from 50 to 80 cents cheaper a gallon than gas plus getting better gas mileage as well as having more horsepower and torque. Life is good.

Yep you are right I paid 2000 more than a gas truck but I also get 22mpg on the highway and 18mpg in town compared to most gas trucks that get 12mpg in town and 15mpg on the highway. So even when it was 20 to 40 cents higher than gas i was still making out in the end.

I don’t think he’s happy paying higher prices. I think he’s looking for that silver lining.

If he really wants to feel good and save at the pump, he should sell his truck and buy a motorcycle !!! He would then be whistling dixie as he passed the pumps…

Better make that a moped; some of the hogs don’t get much better mileage than the average car.

I can’t do that though 6’5 and 260 wouldn’t look too good on a moped.

    Still going to fish though.

sorry guys I am no good on two wheels. I will just keep my diesel and when i do buy it at the pump which is seldom I know it is cheaper than gas. I normally just fill up on the farm. Yes we have LEGAL diesel on our farm.

The gas prices being this high sure do create a bit of blank spot in the wallet, but as long as I never have to drive an Al Gore, go green, hybrid car and can stick with my 5.7 liter, 345 horsepower, 375 lbs. of torque dodge hemi…things will be okay! Haha! Nothing comes in between a Minnesota chick and her truck! Haha. ~Tara~
