Must be a trip shooting an Aligator Gar with a bow that is big enough to tip your boat over.

is this for real? It would probably have to be my boat as my boat would probably sink

I would not ever even try and taste it or land it. It is one of those things I respect enough to cut the line or not shoot it to begin with. A fish that size has lived many years is my guess and should be free to live many more..

I was really afraid to open this post, I thought it was going to be a picture of Braink
Now that I did I see that they are about the same age

I have no ambition to deal with a Gar that size.

Slider…we need to go fishing…don’t forget to say goodbye to your wife before we go.

I’m not sure about the bow/arrow or killing one…but I would be up to wrestling one upto the boat.

Notice I didn’t say “into” the boat?? Way too dangerous!

I wish they hadn’t killed it. These fish are a treasure that should be treated like a trophy eye or musky or cat. I can’t imagine you would eat that or mount it. Probably went in their garden.
