Anyone know what could cause this? When my taillights are on and I turn on a blinker both lights blink on my trailer…without tailights on they are fine…put new lights on new wiring and changed the plug ends..still does it..I’m thinking it is on the truck side, but I used the factory wiring and just connected a new end?????Puzzling

Sounds to me like a ground issue. If you have a older vehicle it may have a light flasher in it also. Have you pulled with it before?

I have pulled with it before and didn’t have an issue with my other boat….it’s a 97 tahoe…but what you are suggesting the trialer perhaps is not grounded well????

I would also agree with the ground problem! Check the wiring on the trailer and the lights, alot of times they ground straight to the trailer and these areas can become rusty and produce a weak ground!

definately a ground. Trailer lights will do some funky stuff when not grounded properly.

I run a ground from the frame of my van through the plug and to another ground on the trailer. If the wirings color coded and right its the ground. I made sure when i made the ground so it stayed grounded and soldered wire connections to the wires so they wouldn’t loose contact. I drilled holes and put dilectic grease on the fittings so they wouldn’t oxadize as much and haven’t had a problem with this wiring in 6 or 7 years now. Soldering and dilectic grease is the trick on connections, it keeps electrical fittings from oxadizing so they don’t loose ground.

I can’t believe no one suggest a ground problem, opener fever is starting to make some of you guys slip up.

Since no one suggested it, I’d say check the grounds.

Could be, but more than likely bad air from the gas station (non filtered air is bad)…

    Forget what everyone else says…

I would make sure the white wire is making a good connection!

I think it is because you left your oven on. that is usually the issue in my house.
