A heads up!
We will be doing some more work on the classified ad system starting around 6 PM tonight. At that time NO NEW ADS will be accepted by the system. You will be able to browse the existing ads and if you have placed an ad, that ad will be editable.
We will be going to a pay system as part of the work that will start at 6 PM tonight.
If you have been thinking about an item you would like to place for sale before we go to a pay system but haven’t done so yet…. the clock is ticking!
You got expenses too James, don’t worry about it.
If possible it would be nice if we could post to the adds. I dont even take them seriously anymore since the seller can post anything they want, including price, without getting questioned. No big deal. Not complaining. Just telling you the truth. I know classifieds is a big hassle so I hope you either make some money on them or maybe even eliminate to save the hassle. Good luck J.

I’ll cover all the specifics once the everything is ready to roll but basically it will be a scalable pricing system. In a nutshell it will be less expensive to sell a fishfinder than it is to sell a car.
Mike, they are set up to use the PM function for more information.
Tim, the seller can change the price if they would like to. Modifications are being recorded to help insure up front practices.
The whole reason the classifieds have been changed is because of the pro sellers. James was urged to go to a pay system a number of years ago to weed out the ebay type posters. He resisted because he wanted to keep the classifieds free for our contributing members…as a way of saying thank you of sort.
To be honest…the “pay for” system had been totally designed as a deterrent for these Pro Sellers.
I truely believe once the new system is totally in place, the only people that will be unhappy are the folks that never posted any place but the classifieds….
plus if I am thinking correctly or not 
. who knows with me. I thought they had mentioned something of a type of deal if you keep posting. But not sure if that was truth or myth. either way is good. as thje seller can edit there post about questions that come up

We will in fact be adding in a system that awards free classified ad posts to members that make “x” number of posts outside of the classifieds. It will basically be a way to thank our contributing members. That system will be put in place ASAP after the pay system has all the bugs worked / kicked out of it.
That sounds good. but you might want to penalize for over posting. (BrianK) .

While there will be a number of those who will complain, I think this is long overdue. This site keeps getting better and better every day. I find myself starting the day off as well as ending it here. My hat’s off to you guys!!! Thank you……..
So I won’t be able to buy V3 Motorola Razers for 99.99 any more, lol.
