    1993 Ranger 482 interested in…

Non Skid Stickies to place around a few plces on the boat & trailer so I don’t wipe out.. Anyone know where to buy some ?

Recessed Trolling Motor Pedal – Anyone ever attempted this modification ? Do it yourselfer ? Take it in somewhere ? Any hints ?

Any clues for helping unstick difficult to open carpeted doors ? Battery door on back of boat hurts to open cause so tight.. carpeted surfaces.. any tips ?

Cabelas sells lockable hatch latches for $25.99 each !! Yuk ! Too expensive ! These are the flip up rounded hatch latches that go over the storage compartments on my tackle & rod lockers.. they are broken. Sounds really high anyone have a source for where to find these for less ?

Source for new seat for ranger.. something I can step on in the middle & not rip seams in my upholstery. Sources ? Experience ?

    Thanks,
    John

BBC does a good job with bass boat mods. Theres a bunch of great motor/boat heads on that site.

Tons of non-skid stuff on McMaster Carr’s Website

You might be stuck with those latches unless you want to break yours again. You boat was manufactured around that year that everybody went to those cheap insta-break latches. IMO spend the money and fix it once.

Check Menards out for the non skid tape. I just looked for some to use for my basement steps at the cabin. They have some with a sand paper type texture (black) or a more rubberized texture (grey) that would probably be more appropriate for a boat. I ordered some clear 3M stuff off the internet (Amazon.com) for my steps.

Get some spray on silicone and spray the carpet on both sides of your lids.

John, send Deafboy a PM or get ahold of me on the recessed foot pedal tray – great deal! Flip up rounded latches can be had reasonable on Ebay. Watch Ebay for the seat – $800 from Ranger.
