This is probably the best show on TV. I still watch the re-runs that I have seen two or three times. They don’t call it deadliest catch for nothing. If they don’t die by sea, they will definitely die from the smoking or coffee and other crap they consume.

I think Sig was on Jay Leno last night, but I fell asleep before he came on. I was just wondering if these guys clean up at all.

gotta do the opelio (sp?) crab season yet! Don’t they? Every other season they did. It should only be half over. Opelio, snow crab, is the later rougher tougher season for the real men, (or women) .

Last night was a great show. I think they could have carried that along for a few more episodes though. It seemed rushed to me. Oh well…the cat’s out of the bag now. It’ll be interesting to see how that all shakes loose.

It’s hard to believe The Sheild has been on for 6 seasons. I can’t wait for Rescue Me to start next month!!

Just watched three hours of king crab fishing. Did you see how many crabs the time bandit got in thier traps. The one trap they pulled up had 161 keeper crab at $25 per crab, unreal! That trap was worth $4,025.00 I guess karma was with them after they saved that guys life that was washed off the side of the crab pots while chaining them down to the deck on the other boat 500 yrds away. The time bandit was watching the boat and the guy hanging from the side of the traps on deck and knew it didn’t look good. He was trying to chain them down and the seas were 30′ and there was alot of roll on the boat and the last wave took him from the side of the traps. They seen he was gone and turned right around and was at his side in 2 minutes and got him out of the water. After that thier fishing was unbelieveable and the best average numbers that anyones ever heard of. They pulled pot after pot with over 100 crabs in each pot and won the bet for the most crabs with the least amount of pots. Very good show tonight. Thier starting all the shows again right now beginning with the first. If you’ve got nothing to do thier on again right now.

Its 15 till 9:00 right now, it started at 8:00 and thier apielio fishing tonight and the seas are going to be rough. Any of you guys that have been in the navy ever see the seas up there in winter and any of the crab boats while thier working? They just opened the paradise crab fishing again after a closed season and i guess they pay well when caught. the coast guard just got an emergency call to medivac a guy off one of the boats that needs to be lifted to a hospital.

I thought that the seals popping their floats was pretty funny even though the fisherman didn’t think so. Phil looked pretty pissed last night when he found out the crab processors were shut down.

Seen the show tonight and a guy can get a sense of the dangers with 30′ seas and huge rogue waves. Did you hear what the one captain said about the wave that rolled the boat on its side when it came over the top of a huge wave. The boat came over the top of a huge wave and went almost directly bow down into the water and this other rogue wave then hit the boat in the side and rolled it on its side. He said if it were any other boat then the one he was on because of how well built it was they would have all died. The producer Mike Rowe really did himself right by filming the crab fishing up there. If i had to do it all over again i’d seriously think about crabbing atleast a few years, the artic ocean in winters got to be beautiful right along with its trecherous seas too, true serious adventure.
